Dave Smith now measures his age in decades. That way he's only four years old! "For the most part, being four is nice, but the car booster seat is kind of tight."
Dave graduated from Pottsville High with a doctorate from SOHK (School Of Hard Knocks.) He likes school so much, he's gone back and is currently taking advanced computer networking courses at the Schuylkill Training and Technology Center North Campus in Frackville.
Dave's into NASCAR and lists Ricky Craven and Michael Waltrip among his favorite drivers. The Jeff Gordon stand up belongs to his wife, Marge. You can tell who wears the drivers' uniform at his house.
He also does mobile DJ work with "Fling-A-Things" - the wedding specialists in the Lehigh Valley, and SpinJammers - a company he and Marge have been operating for almost 20 years.
Dave began his radio career while still in high school, doing the evening show on WPAM in Pottsville. He eventually moved into the office and management. Over the years he's worked at: WZTA/WCRN/WMGH - which are all the same Tamaqua FM station in various evolutions, WXTU in Allentown, and WYNS in Lehighton. He's written, produced and voiced radio commercials which have played on most of the major stations in eastern Pennsylvania.
