New parking meters and an app to pay for parking may be coming to Pottsville.
According to the Republican Herald, the Pottsville Parking Authority is looking to replace about 400 of the approximate 600 meters in the city.
If drivers do not have a smart phone, they can call an 800 number and speak to someone giving them their information such as license plate number and credit card information.
Pottsville Mayor James T. Muldowney said it was his understanding that the meters that are not being replaced will also be able to use the app or coins for parking.
