A teen was taken into custody after fire destroyed a single family home, in Porter Township, Thursday morning.
Authorities say fire crews were called out around 9:30a.m. to the home of Joan and Deron Ludwig, 319 West Grand Avenue, Tower City, for a fully involved structure fire.
State Police fire marshal Trooper John F. Burns from the Frackville Barracks investigated the fire later Thursday and found multiple points of origin to the start of a fire and a 15 year old was taken into custody.
No name was given for the juvenile. And authorities did not say what charges would be filed against the teen.
Schuylkill Units and Tankers from the western end of the county as well as Dauphin County units were called to fight the blaze.
No major injuries were reported.
Damages for the fire were estimated in excess of $100,000.
