A man and woman charged with allowing a 5-month-old child to ingest methamphetamine last year appeared for preliminary hearings, in Schuylkill County Court, Tuesday morning.
According to the Republican Herald, 35 year old Christina M. Brennan and 49 year old Robert Rountree Sr., both of New Philadelphia, were each charged by state police Trooper Joseph Hall of the Frackville station with an incident earlier in the year after the child tested positive for methamphetamine.
Brennan, currently an inmate at Centre County Prison on unrelated charges, waived her right to a hearing and will now have to answer to all four charges in Schuylkill County Court. Rountree, an inmate at Schuylkill County Prison, had his hearing continued due to a conflict with legal representation by the Schuylkill County public defender’s office.
