A Cressona man wanted in Georgia for homicide by vehicle was taken into custody by Pottsville police after an incident Jan. 6 in the city.
Pottsville Police Chief Richard F. Wojciechowsky said officers were called to 526 N. Eighth St. for a report of a protection from abuse order violation involving 41 year old Ravinder Randhawa.
Police learned that there was an active arrest warrant for Randhawa issued in the state of Georgia for homicide by vehicle.
He was taken into custody, arraigned by Magisterial District Judge James K. Reiley, Pottsville and committed to the Schuylkill County Prison.
