Bank robber nabbed...

The man arrested earlier this week for a bank robbery in Dauphin County is from Northumberland County.

State police at Lykens say 25 year old Jacob Snyder, of Coal Township, held up a BB&T Bank branch Tuesday morning in the borough of Pillow. Police accuse Snyder of entering the bank, located along Route 225, and demanding money. He then fled by vehicle on Route 225 and after a brief chase, was apprehended near Treverton.

Police said Thursday "an active investigation" continues.

Tuesday's bank robbery was the second at the BB&T branch in Pillow since Dec. 27 and the seventh since Dec. 6 in eastern Northumberland County.

A recent bank robbery in Middleburg is also being investigated as part of the larger probe. Snyder is now the eighth person charged in connection with the robberies.
