1 Jailed in stabbing...




A Tamaqua man was jailed after being charged with attempted homicide and other offenses. 


36 year old Gregorio Flores was arrested by Tamaqua Patrolman Timothy Walsh, Saturday, in connection with an incident in the unit block of Market Street. 


According to the Republican Herald, Walsh charged Flores with multiple felony offenses, including attempted murder in the third degree for allegedly stabbing Russell J. Nelson with a knife, puncturing his lung. 


Flores was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville, about 2 p.m. Sunday and committed to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $500,000 straight cash bail and will now have to answer to the charges at a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Stephen J. Bayer, Tamaqua.
