A bench warrant has been issued for a Pottsville man who did not show up for his trial or for his sentencing for stealing money from a woman who had allowed him to live with her.
Pottsville police charged Marc R. Freligh with opening credit card accounts in the name of Stefanie E. Wenrich, Pottsville, without her permission, and then using them to make unauthorized purchases, beginning in September 2014 and continuing into 2015.
Judge James P. Goodman ruled that he must serve four to eight years in a state correctional institution and issued the bench warrant for Freligh, who had been free before trial on $20,000 unsecured bail.
