The Minersville Borough Council met Tuesday during its regular monthly meeting and read the bids but tabled awarding a contract for the demolition of the Minersville American Legion building until they receive a response from the state Department of Community and Economic Development about a grant they are applying for.
According to the Republican Herald, the borough owns the building at 3 E. Sunbury St. after they purchased it from the American Legion earlier this year.
The council voted to accept the bids the on the building, which are good for 120 days from Oct. 3, when they were opened and read aloud.
