A Pine Grove area man died Wednesday morning when the motorcycle he was driving struck a deer in Pine Grove Township.
According to the Republican Herald, Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner Deb Detweiler identified the man as 44 year old Jodie Brown, of Washington Township.
Schuylkill Haven State police said the crash occurred about 7:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Geary Wolfe Road, Route 645, when he struck the deer in the southbound lane.
State police did not release any additional details about the crash.
Detweiler said a virtual autopsy was conducted on Brown on Wednesday night and determined Brown died from blunt force trauma to the head and neck, adding that the manner of death has been ruled accidental.
