A Pottsville Area student is facing charges after making a threat.
Pottsville Police were notified by Pottsville Area school administrators and concerned parents, on October 12th, that a student had made a threat against the school during school hours earlier that day.
Pottsville Police made contact with the 15 year old boy, from New Philadelphia, who is a sophomore at the school, along with his parents at his home.
As a result of the investigation a juvenile allegation was filed with the Schuylkill County Juvenile system charging the male student with Felony Terroristic Threats.
He was taken into custody by Pottsville Police and Schuylkill County Juvenile Probation officers and remanded to a secure facility pending further court actions.
