A Hamburg boy has died after suffering injuries when the car he and his family were in was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer on Route 61 in Tilden Township Saturday night.
According to the Republican Herald, 9 year old Yesier Diaz-Ramirez was inside the family’s car when it was struck by a tractor-trailer driven by 38 year old Joshua J. Knight, of Michigan; around 6:45 p.m.
Diaz-Ramirez and another child who was a back seat passenger were both flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown, where Diaz-Ramirez died Sunday.
47 year old Ramon Ramirez, 29 year old Cristina Ramirez-Burgos, and a 4-year-old boy, all of Hamburg, were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital by ambulance. Ramon Ramirez had serious injuries.
Knight was taken to Reading Hospital for evaluation.
