Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers and Saint Clair police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who may be responsible for firing a weapon or weapons in the borough earlier this month.
According to the Republican Herald, police said the incident occurred about 6 p.m. Oct. 10 when officers received several reports of gunfire in the 300 block of Wade Road, near the southbound lanes of Route 61.
Several witnesses reported seeing a white man wearing a black shirt and black pants and a black man wearing a brown shirt and brown pants who were possibly involved in the incident.
Police said officers did recover several handgun casings at the scene and believe one man fled south into a wooded area, while the other fled across Route 61 toward East Hancock Street in the borough.
Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information on the identity of the men responsible for this crime or on any other unsolved crime in Schuylkill County.
