A Nanticoke man, who was violently beaten and stuffed in the trunk of his own car, after offering a ride to a stranger, was continuing to recover Tuesday.
According to state police, 64 year old Charles Eget was critically injured; suffering a skull fracture among other injuries, after being attacked with a tire iron and a log by 42 year old Bradley John Butler, of Scranton, outside a diner across from Mohegan Sun Pocono in Plains Township on Friday morning.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Eget remained in critical condition at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.
Butler was involved with a hit and run and arrested after telling a tow operator there was a body in the trunk.
