A suspected drunk driver caused two crashes that closed Route 901 Wednesday.
According to Skook News, Cass Township police were called to a motor vehicle accident with a fleeing vehicle in the area of Live Oaks Road along Route 901 around 4:45pm.
When police arrived on scene, they found a vehicle in the roadway with severe damage to the driver's side door that was driven by Christian Klinger.
Witnesses told police that a blue truck crossed into the other lane and struck Klinger's vehicle in the driver side door. While police were investigating the first crash, they were notified of a second crash in the area of Hilltop Terrace Drive along Route 901, where witnesses told police that the vehicle went straight into a utility pole, and then the flipped approximately 4 to 5 times landing back on its wheels.
Police identified the driver of the truck as, Lee Son Yom. He was transported to Pottsville Hospital for blood alcohol content testing. Charges are pending the outcome of the results.
Klinger, who was injured in the first crash, was treated at the scene.
