An elementary school in Schuylkill County, in need of some upgrades, got a much-needed facelift.
Upgrades were made both inside and outside of John S. Clarke Area Elementary Center in Pottsville.
Volunteers made sure the playground platforms were sturdy and the walls outside classrooms had a new coat of paint.
Pottsville school officials say the playground equipment was more than 20 years old, and they were very grateful for all the volunteers helping them install new equipment.
More than 100 volunteers got in the mix as part of Wells Fargo Bank Signature Day of Caring.
Through donations, school officials were able to complete the project which would cost around $70,000.
