It’s Fire Prevention week and the Ashland Fire Department held their Annual Fire Prevention Day.
The event offered equipment on display from the American Hose and Washington Fire Companies.

Members gave children tours of the apparatus and showed them the equipment they were when they are fighting fires.
Meanwhile the Girardville Fire Department held their Annual Public Safety Day with members of the Rangers Hose, Girard Hose and Girardville Police Department.
The focus of the event was to show children what it was like to become a firefighter and what to do if your house or a neighbor’s house catches fire.
The Girardville Police Department was on hand to meet the children and fingerprint them.
