Tamaqua borough council will revamp a low-interest loan program for residents who want to repair or replace their sidewalks.
The program, which is being reinstituted after a several-year absence, did not call for applicants to provide their credit score or proof of income to be eligible.
Those applying for the loans, however, must prove that they own their home, have paid their utility bills and taxes, and have homeowners insurance.
