The 23-year-old mayor of Mount Carbon was found dead early Thursday.
According to the Republican Herald, details of Brandon M. Wentz’s death have not yet been released.
Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner Albert Barnes said he pronounced Wentz dead Thursday at 7:58 a.m. but declined to provide additional information.
Schuylkill County Coroner Dr. David G. Moylan III said state police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the death.
