When 9-year-old Stephen Karinch blew out his birthday candles, he had a very specific wish in mind. He wanted to help local hospital patients.
Stephen decided to donate 70-dollars of his birthday money to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill, stating he wanted to help those with cancer and he wanted the hospital to buy more coloring books for sick kids.
Stephen did save some of his birthday money and plans to use it to buy toys for a local Toys for Tots drive.
Stephen also volunteered at the hospital's Veterans Day breakfast on Saturday.
