The man who was brutally beaten and stuffed into his trunk during a carjacking three weeks ago has died, and his alleged killer will face murder charges, Pennsylvania State Police said Monday.
State police say 64 year old Charles Eget encountered 42 year old Bradley John Butler, of Scranton, offering him a ride in the early morning hours of Oct. 20th.
Butler, who was already charged with attempted murder, kidnapping and robbery charges, now faces criminal homicide charges as a result of the death.
Butler remains jailed at the Lebanon County Correctional Facility, where he is being held on $1 million bail.
