Next week also officially starts the holiday shopping season and the extended Thanksgiving weekend will be full of kick-off events, including Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.
Shoppers are urged to support our local small businesses through their brick and mortar stores and online shopping.
Small Business Saturday statistics show that there are many reasons to shop local. For every $100 spent, $68 of that stays local and boosts our area economy if spent at a neighborhood business, whereas only $43 stays local when shopping at a chain store.
