One man died Tuesday morning, in Kline Township, after an altercation with a gun.
According to State Police at Frackville, police were called to a reported shooting on James Street, near McAdoo, around 9:30 am. Upon arrival police found 27 year old David Gombert, of Hazle Township, shot. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Also at the scene was 29 year old Eric Mumaw, of Kline Township.
Police say both were involved in an altercation when a gun was discharged killing Gombert and injuring Mumaw, whose injuries were non-life threatening.
State Police and the Schuylkill County District Attorney's Office is still investigating the incident and no charges have been filed at this time.
Police are asking for anyone that might have been a witness to the incident or has information relevant to the investigation to contact the PSP at Frackville at (570) 874-5300.
