The Salvation Army of Pottsville needs more volunteers for its Red Kettle Campaign.
Capt. Kevin Polito, of the Salvation Army, said he would like to have between 15 and 20 volunteers. There are only three bell ringers for the season so far.
The kettle drive kicks off Nov. 18 and ends Dec. 24 and is the Salvation Army’s largest fundraising effort.
The money donated during the campaign helps provide food, rent, utility assistance, and funds for the soup kitchen and children’s programs.
A meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Salvation Army, 400 Sanderson St., Pottsville, for those interested in helping out.
