A city man wanted for assaulting a woman Sunday night into Monday morning has been apprehended.
According to the Republican Herald, Pottsville Police Chief Richard F. Wojciechowsky said 36 year old Braxton John Moore was taken into custody around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of 10th and West Market streets.
Police charged Moore with assaulting a 38-year-old Pottsville woman on Monday to the 300 block of West Market Street resulting in her suffering serious bruising on her face and body that required treatment at a local medical facility.
Moore was arraigned on charges and committed to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post bail.
