On Tuesday, the Department of Labor and Industry announced that their unemployment compensation phone system is out of service.
A notice on the state Department of Labor & Industry Web site states that "due to vendor-related technical issues, the Unemployment Compensation Service Centers are unable to receive phone calls or access the UC system."
The issues reportedly started Monday.
In the interim, claims can still be entered and old claims checked via L&I's online portal.
