A Lavelle woman died Monday when the car she was driving collided with a truck on Route 2044, Upper Road, in East Cameron Township, Northumberland County.
State police at Stonington said 65 year old Crystal A. Hubler was driving east about 10:40 a.m. when she crossed over the center line and collided with a truck being driven west by 65 year old Clinton G. Honicker, of Coal Township.
Police said the vehicles collided head-on in the westbound lanes of the highway and came to a stop in the middle of the road.
Hubler was pronounced dead at the scene while her two female passengers —ages 13 and 9 — were flown to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for treatment of serious injuries.
Honicker was taken to Geisinger Hospital, Shamokin, for treatment of minor injuries.
