29 year old Eric Mumaw, of McAdoo Heights, Kline Township, was arrested late Thursday on homicide charges in connection with the death of 27 year old David Gombert, of Hazle Township, two days earlier.
Mumaw was charged with murder in the third degree, along with several other related offenses.
Frackville state police said Gombert was shot in the torso after an altercation, with a gun, took place at the home of Mumaw at 35 James St. about 9:25 a.m. Tuesday. During the altercation, a gun was discharged, striking Gombert in the chest, ultimately causing his death.
Gombert was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mumaw was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko, Port Carbon, and committed to Schuylkill County Prison without bail.
