Governor Wolf has signed a package of legislation that is aimed to combat the current opioid abuse epidemic plaguing Pennsylvania.
Battling the opioid abuse crisis is a top priority for the governor and he commended his administration and the General Assembly for working quickly to pass the bipartisan supported legislation before the end of the fall session.
The bills signed into law yesterday will strengthen the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program, restrict the number of pills that can be prescribed to minors or in emergency rooms, establish education curriculum on safe prescribing, and create more locations for the drop-off of prescription drugs.
