The 2018 general elections just finished up but Schuylkill County is already thinking about future elections.
County commissioners are discussing replacing the current voting machines with new ones.
This comes after the state made it a requirement for voting machines have paper back-ups by the next presidential election.
Through a state and federal program, County Commissioner Chairman George Halcovage says the state is giving the county a 142 thousand dollar grant for the replacements; however the county will still be responsible for more than a million dollars to make the switch.
