Even though it's getting colder, the threat of ticks and spreading Lyme disease isn't going away.
Veterinarians and Doctors in PA are warning residents that pets and ticks are a major concern because many ticks carry Lyme disease and that could end up making dogs, cats and humans sick.
Experts say colder weather doesn't necessarily mean that there are no more ticks.
One way to combat ticks is to prevent them in the first place by checking your body after enjoying outdoor fall activities and treating animals with preventative medicine.
