An Ashland man is facing charges after assaulting a Girardville Police Officer last week.
According to Skook News, Girardville Police Officer Matthew Williams pulled over 52 year old Brian Maurer, of Ashland, for a traffic violation.
Maurer resisted arrest and had to be tazed two times to be taken into custody.
He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker and released on bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 12.
