Interstate 81 was reopened after a tractor trailer fire closed both southbound lanes Sunday morning.
According to State Police at Frackville, the incident occurred around 7:15am when a tractor trailer, carrying Amazon cargo, driven by 32 year old Fregy Attelus, of Allentown, was traveling southbound on Interstate 81 near Milemarker 132 in Delano Township.
The fire started in the rear trailer and Attelus pulled over to the shoulder of the highway where the trailer became engulfed in flames.
Both lanes of Interstate 81 southbound were closed while fire personnel got the fire under control.
No injuries were reported and the trailer was able to be towed from the scene.
