Drivers and shoppers in Schuylkill County may have noticed that there is no free parking in downtown Pottsville this year.
The city's parking authority is not bringing back the free parking in the downtown business district this holiday season.
Officials say instead of free parking this year, the city will be donating all of the ticket and fine proceeds between now and December 31st to Toys for Tots.
As for parking -- it is still free after five p-m during the week and all day on weekends.
