Pottsville police charged a Mechanicsville woman Monday with calling in a bomb threat that forced the evacuation of the Schuylkill County Courthouse and other county-owned buildings.
According to the Republican Herald, 34 year old Jaclyn Marie Hollywood called Schuylkill County Children & Youth Services at 8:15 a.m. and told the answering service employee that a bomb was set to explode in the Schuylkill County Courthouse at 9:30 a.m.
Pottsville Police Chief Richard F. Wojciechowsky said authorities were assisted by Comcast employees and learned the origin of the threatening call, making it possible to identify Hollywood as being the registered owner of the telephone number that the call was made from.
Hollywood was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier, Orwigsburg, and committed to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $250,000 bail.
