The Salvation Army of Pottsville needs your help with its Red Kettle Campaign.
According to the Republican Herald, the kettle drive is the largest fundraiser the organization has.
The money donated during the campaign helps provide food, rent, utility assistance and funds for the soup kitchen and children’s programs.
With less than two weeks left, the campaign needs more volunteers and donations. Capt. Kevin Polito of the Salvation Army said once again, lack of consistent volunteers is hampering the effort.
As of Wednesday, Polito estimated there were not more than 10 volunteers. Ideally, at least five more are needed.
The drive started Nov. 18 and ends Dec. 24. Anyone willing to volunteer must be at least 18 years of age and can contac the Salvation Army at 570-622-5252.
Donations may be dropped off at any of the locations or sent to the office Salvation Army, PO Box 107, Pottsville, PA.
