A fire Monday morning, in Northumberland County, has left six people homeless.
Crews were called out just before 9am to the 800 block of West Spruce Street, in Coal Township, for the 2 alarm blaze that reportedly started in the back; kitchen area, of a half-double home at 840 and quickly spread to the adjoining home at 842.
The fire caused extensive damage to those two homes and smoke and water damage to adjoining homes.
No injuries were reported.
Left homeless were Chadd and Becky Hauer, along with their three daughters, ages 7, 4 and 18 months, of 840 W. Spruce St., and their neighbor, Steven Gallie, of 842 W. Spruce St.
The Red Cross is helping the family and clothing donations for the children are also being taken for sizes, 7, 3T and 18 months by calling 570-509-2256.
