Free Naloxone...

The Wolf Administration announced Thursday that naloxone will be provided for free to any Pennsylvanian who wants it at nearly 80 locations across the state.

Naloxone is a medication that can reverse an overdose caused by an opioid by blocking the effects of opioids on the brain.

This comes as part of the administration’s ongoing effort to reduce the number of opioid overdoses and to help get residents into treatment.

In Schuylkill County, naloxone will be available at the Schuylkill County State Health Center, One Norwegian Plaza, Suite 103, Pottsville, on Thursday, December 13 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
