Dozens of firefighters responded to the Laurel Mall early Thursday morning for reports of a fire. 

Crews arrived on scene in Hazle Township just before 5 a.m. after reports of smoke inside Boscov's.  They found the source of the fire inside a storage room and succesfully knocked down the flames. 

The sub-zero temperatures caused icy conditions, as the water used to fight the fire quickly froze.  

The Laurel Mall opened as normal Thursday morning, but shoppers are advised to use extra caution because of ice in the parking lots. 

Boscov's is set to open later than normal on Thursday, opening their doors at noon.
