Threats unfounded at Shenandoah...




Shenandoah Valley Superintendent Brian Waite responded to parent concerns about a reported threat that was made in school last week.

 Watit’s message was in regards to an alleged incident at school on Friday were a student had made threats that were going to occur at school today. 

The Shenandoah Police Department received notification from the Shenandoah Valley School District that they had received reports from concerned parents and students that a student was going to bring a gun to school on Monday after being involved in an altercation with another student. 

Police investigated the report and have determined that there is no truth to the allegation. 

On Sunday evening, Waite issued a phone call to the parents of the Shenandoah Valley School District to assure parents and students that the district has in place measures that will continue to provide students with a safe and secure education environment. 

Classes are scheduled as usual today in the district.
