29 Displaced by fire...




Over two dozen people are displaced after a fire in Ashland, Thursday.

 According to Skook News, emergency personnel were dispatched at 2:47pm, to 1112 Brock Street in Ashland for a house fire. 

Upon arrival, emergency personnel found multiple homes engulfed in flames and upgraded the fire to additional alarms. 

All occupants escaped the fire, including an elderly woman who was rescued by one of Ashland's firefighters. 

The fire damaged or destroyed 9 homes in all, leaving 29 people displaced across 9 families. All are being assisted by the American Red Cross. Some pets were rescued but there were also some that perished in the fire. 

A State Police Fire Marshal was at the scene but no cause has yet been determined.
