A Pottsville area hunter was found dead alongside a road in Butler Township on Tuesday morning.
According to the Republican Herald, 65 year old Robert J. Valent left his home on Monday to go hunting and never returned.
Butler Township police initiated requests for search and rescue teams to begin looking for Valent but a short time later the man’s body was found in a wooded area west of Steins Road by township officers, near the village of Mowry.
After a virtual autopsy, it was determined Valent apparently died of natural causes.
Although the investigation is continuing, Butler Township police said the incident does not appear to be suspicious.
