Democrats Gary Hess, of Schuylkill Haven, and Joe Palubinsky, of Ringtown, announced Thursday they are running as a team in the 2019 race for Schuylkill County commissioner.
According to the Republican Herald, Hess is seeking his third term as commissioner. Palubinsky is seeking his first.
Palubinsky is the former borough manager of Shenandoah, a position he held for more than 20 years.
Both men have municipal experience.
Before being commissioner, Hess was the mayor of Schuylkill Haven. He also owns Hess Catering. The primary election will be held on May 21.
