Schuylkill County Prothonotary David J. Dutcavich has submitted a letter of resignation to Gov. Tom Wolf.
Dutcavich says in the letter, dated March 15, that it has been his privilege to serve Schuylkill County residents since 1984.
Dutcavich said in a statement to The Republican-Herald on Monday that his last day in office will be March 29. Dutcavich said the “recent concerns” about financial records in the prothonotary’s office had nothing to do with his retirement and stated that his family is the principal reason for leaving office.
