A Minersville woman was charged by police for having drugs at the Schuylkill County Prison on Tuesday.
According to the Republican Herald, Patrolman Jeffrey Bowers said the charges against30 year old Brittany M. George are the result of a traffic stop at which time police learned she was wanted on drug charges from an incident that occurred in November of 2016.
Bowers said George was taken to prison and during a search by prison staff the woman was found with a clear glassine baggie containing an off-white crystal substance inside her body that tested positive as methamphetamine.
George was then arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville, who set bail at $25,000 straight cash and remanded her to the county prison.
George will now have to appear for a preliminary on the latest charges in a Schuylkill County district court.
