Two people died in a crash in Schuylkill County Saturday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 12:30pm, Saturday, as emergency personnel were called to the intersection of Route 61 and Route 443 near Renninger's Market, Schuylkill Haven, for a two-car accident with heavy entrapment.
Authorities have identified the fatal victims in the crash as 7 year old Gage Evans, of Pottsville, and 57 year old Mark Naftzinger, of New Ringgold.
Both were in separate cars in the crash. Police said Naftzinger was the operator of a 2013 Subaru and 31 year old Lauren Bechtel, of Pottsville, was the driver of a 2002 Chevrolet.
The boy was a passenger in Bechtel’s car and 83 year old Margaret Bair, of Orwigsburg, along with 59 year old Robin Naftzinger, of New Ringgold were passengers in Naftzinger’s vehicle.
There is still no word on what caused the deadly crash.
