Emegency personnel were called to a working house fire in North Manheim Township near Schuylkill Haven around 12:45pm, Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was located at 63 North Lake Drive, North Manheim Township.
Schuylkill Haven Assistant Fire Chief Jim Reed said firefighters saw heavy smoke upon arrival.
Reed said he and state police fire marshal Trooper John F. Burns of the Frackville station determined the cause of the fire is accidental, possibly an overheated wire under the basement steps.
Six people were displaced in the fire.
