A Coal Township teen will be headed to court on criminal homicide and other charges after admitting to a shooting at his preliminary hearing.
Police testified Tuesday that accused murderer 17 year old Sabian D. Ebersole admitted shooting to death 21-year-old David Rivera Jr. during a botched drug deal in Coal Township on Jan. 24, near the 900 block of West Pine Street in Coal Township.
Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene by Northumberland County Coroner James F. Kelley, who ruled the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the torso and manner of death as homicide.
Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to bound the case over to Northumberland County Court of Common Pleas.
