For the second year in a row, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade scheduled for Saturday has been postponed due to the snowstorm on Wednesday.
According to the Republican Herald, the amount of snow that fell and not being able to clear it sufficiently led to the decision.
The Girardville St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee met Thursday morning and came to the unanimous consensus that a postponement was the best decision.
The new date for the 15th annual parade is April 14.
