Redner’s Warehouse Markets plans to add a restaurant to its Hegins store and begin selling beer and eventually wine there.
The Hegins Township supervisors unanimously approved an inter-municipal transfer of a restaurant liquor license from Port Carbon, to Redner’s at its 22 Forest Drive, Hegins location.
The liquor license allows the location to sell two six-packs; or one 12-pack; or singles, at a time but limits the amount of alcohol that could be consumed on site, averaging out to about two 16-ounce beers per person and would be limited to the restaurant premises only.
Redner’s also plans to apply for a wine permit, which would allow the restaurant to sell approximately two to four bottles of wine at a time.
Alcohol sales would be from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday; and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
